I hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 123(1)(a)(i) of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the notice for the Declaration of Approval of the Animal Welfare Institute of New Zealand (Inc) as an Approved Organisation, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 January 2001, No. 6, page 116, is revoked. This notice takes effect 28 days after it is published in the New Zealand Gazette. Dated at Wellington this 8th day of December 2010. HON DAVID CARTER, Minister of Agriculture.

How is it this notice has ‘quietly’ appeared under the radar, as if the fog has lifted and no-one is prepared to say anything from Government sources other than what was posted by David Carter.
It is almost a “sorry” without saying why, and hoping no-one will say anything. Section 123(1)(a)(i) indicates: “that the organisation no longer meets any 1 or more of the criteria set out in section 122;” but I would suggest that (ii) would be more appropriate based on evidence presented to the government and its many bodies over the years… namely: “(ii) that the organisation has failed to comply with any condition imposed under section 122(2)”.
My opinion about some Ministers can be well expressed as… “With the stroke of a pen, I hereby exonerate myself and my fellow ‘Bumble’ bees from any ill-doing initiated by the Labour Government and their “qUeEn” bee who has since fled the hive after stuffing it up, sideways and down.”
